Budget

The budget for the RC Baja Project was set to be at maximum $600 with each team member supplying $300 to the project. This was seen as an acceptable number to produce a working vehicle housed fair quality parts to set it at a competition standard. This money was used for part suppliers which was primarily McMaster Carr and Amazon as both vendors carried nearly everything needed for the project. Anything that was not included in the purchased parts list was fabricated in house or outsourced to the machine shop. Additional parts were recycled from previous years projects which both alleviated the cost and helped deliver parts in a timely manner.

Fall Expenditures

The fall budget for this project was dedicated entirely to the cost of labor which can be seen in Figure 6.1 as line item three. This was a hypothetical cost which was used as a way to understand the various costs that occur during project development.

Winter Expenditures

The winter budget for this project was dedicated entirely to the parts and materials needed to complete the car which can be seen in Figure 6.1 as line item one with a specific list found in Figure 6.2.

Spring Expenditures

The spring budget for this project was dedicated to any emergency expenditures that may be needed to ensure the vehicle still functions. Thankfully, this budget did not need to be used as all the parts needed could be manufactured by the engineering team or were already acquired. That being said, Figure 6.2 shows the most up to date budget produced by the engineering team.
